It operates in the participating Member States, including Spain, through European Delegated Prosecutors who act before national courts. <\/p>\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Why you need a specific defense<\/h2>\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">An EPPO proceeding combines two levels: it is conducted according to Spanish procedural law, but under the direction of a European structure with its own criteria and the capacity to act in several countries at once. Evidence can be gathered in different States, and coordination between jurisdictions is constant.
