It is a right, but it is not always processed promptly by the authorities, and it is advisable to request it. <\/p>\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">How We Proceed<\/h2>\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">We check which records are held in your name at the Central Registry of Convicted Persons, verify whether the time limits and requirements are met, and formally request the expungement. We also manage the criminal record certificate once it has been expunged, including for clients residing outside Spain. <\/p>\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">International Dimension<\/h2>\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">For foreigners and for Spaniards abroad, criminal records in Spain have effects overseas: certificates required for residency or citizenship processes, visas, immigration controls.
